London's East End is famous for its artists, with more creatives living and working per square mile than anywhere else in the world.
Town Hall Hotel has commissioned two phases of bespoke, site-specific artworks by artists based in the area, curated by East London producers' Artsadmin.
The artworks, ranging from sculpture and collage to drawing, audio, film and keycards, are threaded throughout the hotel. It is also a nod to THH's heritage, as the original builders commissioned local sculptors and artists to adorn the building when it was first built.
"Some of the most exciting artists in the world live and work in London's East End - they have created remarkable works of art in response to the unique characteristics of this heritage site. These commissions offer a cultural legacy for the future"
Iwona Blazwick OBE Director, Whitechapel Gallery
